Azure Monitor
Register an Azure Active Directory Application #
Open Azure Active Directory in the Azure Portal.
Click App registrations.
Click New Registration.

Provide an appropriate name and select Single tenant as the account scope.
Capture the Application Name, as it will be used in the next steps.
Click Register.
Click on the new application created in the App registration Page.
Copy Client ID and Tenant ID.
Create an API access key using the following steps:
- Navigate to the settings page for the AAD Application.
- Click Keys.
- Provide a name and an expiry date for the key.
When you press save, the Client Secret Key will be generated.

Copy and secure the Client Secret Key, as it will disappear when you navigate away from the page.
Add the Monitoring Reader role to the subscription #
Search for Subscription.

Select the Subscription you want to monitor.
Copy and Save Subscription ID
Click Access Control (IAM) on left panel.
Click Add > Add Role assignment.

Search for and select Monitoring Reader role.
Click Next.

Click Select members and search for Application name captured in previous steps.

Click Review and save.
Ensure the newly added role appears under Role assignment.
You will need to provide the following to SolCyber:
- Tenant ID
- Subscription ID
- Client ID
- Client Secret Key:
