iVerify Setup

iVerify Elite offers comprehensive mobile device security for you and your organization, ensuring robust protection against known threats and uncovering indicators of compromise.

We recommend that iVerify be deployed in environments where all end user devices (computers and company-provided phones) are managed by an endpoint or mobile device management tool. This makes deployment and management of iVerify much easier.

Adding Users to iVerify#

The easiest way to add users to iVerify is through an integration with your main user directory.

Entra ID - SCIM#

  1. Visit https://entra.microsoft.com (or portal.azure.com > Entra ID). In the left menu, under Applications, click Enterprise Applications.

  2. Click +New Application.

  3. Click + Create Your Own Application.

  4. Use SolCyber iVerify SCIM as the name of the application. Select Integrate any other application (Non-gallery) and click Create.

  5. You should now be on the Overview page for the application you have created. If not, Go to Enterprise applications and select the SolCyber iVerify SCIM application.

  6. In the left menu under Manage, click Provisioning, then click + New configuration.

  7. In the Tenant URL box, enter the SCIM URL to be provided by SolCyber.

  8. In the Secret Token box, enter the AUTHORIZATION HEADER to be provided by SolCyber.

  9. Click Test Connection. If the connection works, click Save.

  10. To add users to iVerify, in the left menu, click Users and groups, then click Add user/group. You can add users individually here, or you can add a group. NOTE: iVerify only supports single group provisioning. If you plan to use groups in provisioning, consider creating a dedicated group for iVerify containing all applicable users.

Provisioning is automatic and may take 20 - 40 minutes. Once the users are added to iVerify, they will receive an email with a an enrollment code. Please be sure to alert your users that this email will be coming to avoid any confusion. An example can be found below:

Google SCIM#

Configuring Google SCIM will require a working session with SolCyber and your Google Workspace Admin.

NOTE: iVerify only supports single group provisioning. If you plan to use groups in provisioning, consider creating a dedicated group for iVerify containing all applicable users.


Deploying iVerify to User Devices#

iOS Devices#

Step 1: Deploy the iVerify Connect Desktop App #

Due to iOS permissions limitations, the iVerify Connect Desktop App is required to provide the mobile app with the appropriate permissions to operate. Use the links below to download the iVerify Connect Desktop app based on your end-users’ operating systems.

Using an MDM

Upload the iVerify Connect App to your enterprise device management system (e.g. GPO, Jamf, Kandj, Intune, etc..) and deploy the app to the relevant employee desktop machines.

Manual

If you do not have a method to deploy the application, the application will need to be installed manually on each relevant computer.

Step 2: Install the iVerify Elite App to Mobile Devices #

Next, you will need to deploy the iVerify Elite app to the applicable mobile devices. Users will receive an email containing a code to use when configuring the iVerify Elite app on their device.

Using an MDM

Use your Mobile Device Management tool to deploy the iVerify Elite app to the managed devices.

Manual

Instruct users to download the iVerify Elite app to their devices.

Step 3: Complete User Enrollment#

  1. To set up Elite Monitoring, go to the Elite Monitoring section in the iOS app and tap Pair Device.
  2. Tether your phone to your desktop machine using an Apple-approved cable.
  3. Scroll down and select “Install Elite VPN Extension.”
  4. Launch iVerify Connect on your Mac or PC and connect your device.
  5. On your iPhone, tap Trust Device to allow iVerify Connect to pair with it.
  6. In iVerify Connect, select your device.
  7. On the iOS app, tap Scan QR Code and scan the QR code displayed in iVerify Connect.
  8. Enter the 6-digit code shown on the iOS app into iVerify Connect.
  9. Enter the 6-digit code displayed in iVerify Connect into the iOS app. Your iOS device will confirm successful pairing.

Android Devices#

  1. SolCyber will provision an enrollment invitation for each user, sent via email. This will include an enrollment code and a link to download the iVerify application from the Google Play Store.
  2. Open the iVerify application, and advance through the initial notification. You will then see a prompt to enter the enrollment code you received via email.
  3. Choose “Accept” at the App Data Collection Screen.
  4. iVerify will run an initial scan. At this point, your mobile device is protected.
  5. To utilize the Smishing Protection feature, click “Smishing Protection” and follow the on-screen instructions to turn off Private DNS.
  6. Once you’ve returned to iVerify, click “Install VPN Profile” and then “OK” to complete the activation of Smishing Protection.
