DNS Filter

DNSFilter is a cloud-based content filtering and threat protection service. DNS Filter can be deployed:

• at the network level - this is a good option if you have servers in your network; also if most of your users work from a physical office and you have control of the router/firewall. Also useful if you frequently have guests joining your network.
• at the endpoint level via the Roaming Client agent - best for a remote workforce, or if your do not have control over the networking at your physical office (ex: co-working space, shared office space, etc).
• You can also have a hybrid deployment of both options.

SolCyber’s Foundational Service includes blocking DNS requests to known Threat websites.

Soon, we will be rolling out an Extended Service that allows customers to apply Content Filtering by Category (ex: blocking Gambling, Pornography, Peer to Peer Sharing, etc).

When users attempt to visit a site blocked by the DNS Filter policy, they will instead see the following page.

NOTE: It is not recommended to install the DNS Filter agent on Windows Server operating systems. Protect your servers by deploying DNS Filter at the Network Level.
